Return to the Sauce EP is the latest from the legendary Pink Sugar Rush pioneers, Midnight Heist. Both mixes derive from their infamous Pork Chop Sessions at the now-defunct Silver Kly-Maxx Factory, where delirious funk builder Peppercorn Sauce signalled the opening of the debauched affairs, and the deep, head-rush anthem Teriyaki Sauce would wrap up the ecstatic, sweat-soaked sessions, long after the sun had come up.

A mainstay in their notorious all-nighter sets and heavily sought-after ever since, Midnight Heist have finally agreed to allow Bona Fido to release these tracks for the very first time. Heavy on deep, throbbing space grooves, The Heist demonstrate once again how their inimitable sound traverses disco and funk, breaks and beats, male and female, black and white, front and back.

Born out of the legendary Pork Chop Sessions in Detroit at the peak of the ‘80s Pink Sugar Rush craze, the Downtown Detroit Midnight Heist Association was cooperative of musicians, DJs, dancers and adult performers with a shared sense of creative freedom and sexual liberation.
Now down to the two last surviving members with no sign of slowing in tempo, metaphorically at least....
